What's in the bag
1 kilogram of unroasted Uganda Robusta green coffee beans, processed naturally. The cherry is picked ripe, sorted, and dried whole in the sun on raised beds. The fruit dries around the bean over two to three weeks, pulling sweetness and body into the seed. After drying, the outer layers are stripped and the green bean inside is hand-sorted. Nothing added. Raw coffee, ready for your roaster.
How it roasts
Robusta takes heat well. It develops early and stays consistent across roast levels. A dark roast pulls deep chocolate, roasted nuts, and a heavy earthy body. A medium roast keeps more natural sweetness while the crema stays thick. Low acidity, full mouthfeel, roughly twice the caffeine of Arabica. Use it in espresso blends where you need body and a head of crema that holds, cold brew where strength is the point, or a standalone dark roast that stands up to milk.
Where it comes from
Nonda buys directly from Robusta farmers in central and western Uganda. Our team inspects the drying beds during processing. The farmer gets paid above the government-set farmgate. Every bag traces to a specific lot and harvest date. Uganda is Africa's number one coffee exporter. Robusta is the backbone of that trade. You are buying the same grade that ships in containers to Italian espresso roasters.
